I moved into University Studios specifically because the 8th floor was newly renovated, expecting a better living experience. Unfortunately, that has not been the case. The air conditioning for the entire floor has not been working for over 8 months, and despite repeated follow-ups, there is still no clear timeline or accountability from management. This is not a minor issue — it directly impacts basic living conditions. What makes this even more frustrating: - Transferring to another unit is not a real solution. Most other units are older and not in a livable or comparable condition, which defeats the purpose of moving here in the first place. - One of the elevators has been consistently out of service, creating daily inconvenience. - Management communication has been vague, with no concrete updates or resolution plan despite multiple in-person visits. At this point, it reflects a serious gap in operational management, maintenance prioritization, and tenant support. If you’re considering moving here, be aware that while certain floors may appear newly renovated, the building infrastructure and management responsiveness do not match that expectation.

I strongly advise people to avoid living at University Studios in Cleveland. Management is extremely unresponsive and basic issues are constantly ignored. The building has virtually no security, so homeless individuals regularly get inside, sleep in common areas, and steal clothes from the laundry room. Essential services are unreliable, hot water is frequently shut off, and major problems like broken elevators are left unfixed for weeks, forcing tenants to use the stairs. Maintenance requests are often marked as completed even when no one actually came to fix anything, and the company will completely ignore emails. The management company does not take tenant safety or basic living conditions seriously. Would give 0 stars if possible

I’m really disappointed with this place simple things that should be taken care of never get done asked maintenance to fix a closet door 6 months ago still broke with glass on it, seems like management lets anybody live here crazy people down the hall yelling all hrs of the night couple across the hall smoking all the time fighting. Laundry room (simple) get a bigger trash can in there!! Trash all over all the time.in an emergency situation email cannot enter bldg without a key fab also you should be able to exit the laundry room within having to use a key fab that’s just ignorant, trash is left in hallways for days!!! Until they decide to come get it, no security on site, bathrooms by workout room always locked why?? Carpet in hallways smells and is dirty and price just keeps going up!!!!

I was a resident of this apartment for a period of three years. Prior to vacating the unit, I provided written instructions regarding the mailing address for the return of my security deposit. It has now been over one year since I moved out, and I have not received my security deposit. I have contacted the property management multiple times regarding this matter, and each time I am given the same response—that the issue will be reported to the manager. Despite these assurances, no action has been taken and no resolution has been provided. The continued failure to return my security deposit, or to provide a valid explanation for the delay, is unreasonable and unacceptable. I am formally requesting immediate resolution of this matter. If this issue is not addressed promptly, I will be forced to consider further action to recover the amount owed to me

If you enjoy being woken up at midnight by people sprinting past your door, this is the place for you. It’s currently almost 12 AM(03/01/2026), and some resident (or guest) has run back and forth 5 times now.(literally RUNNING) I’m only here for a night and I’ve already lost count of how many times I’ve been jolted awake. Definitely NOT a place to live.
