My experience living in a Stonebridge Binghamton property was consistently frustrating due to poor communication, lack of accountability, and constant changes in management. I subleased my room for one semester to study abroad and notified Stonebridge months in advance before the new tenant’s expected move-in. Despite letting them know ahead of time, they waited until the last minute to begin the necessary procedures of moving in a new tenant. Her move-in was delayed forcing her to start work late — something that could have easily been avoided with better organization. Maintenance requests required multiple phone follow-ups before receiving attention, and repairs were often incomplete or delayed unnecessarily. Basic issues remained unresolved for extended periods despite repeated requests. We were required to vacate during senior week with 10 days remaining in May, despite paying rent for the full month. Our unit requested permission to stay a few additional days to complete the academic year but received no response after multiple contact attempts. Meanwhile, neighboring tenants were granted extensions after a single request. After moving out, Stonebridge charged all departing tenants a $200 cleaning fee that was not disclosed in our signed lease. The lease stated that proper cleaning would ensure full security deposit return, with no mention of mandatory turnover charges. After weeks of unsuccessful phone and email attempts to dispute these fees and request status of security deposit return, I visited the office in person. Since Stonebridge did not uphold their end of the signed lease (returning our security deposits within 2 weeks), the cleaning charges were dropped. However, my unit still has not received the security deposit returns and we moved out 3 months ago. Also worth noting: any positive reviews you see here were likely written in exchange for a free drink chip at a local bar. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Stonebridge to anyone seeking reliable property management in Binghamton.

I’ve been with Stonebridge Campus Living for almost a year and couldn’t recommend them more. I’m a student who moved in this June, and everyone has been extremely helpful from day one. Brock especially has been amazing — he’s always checking in and making sure my roommates’ and my needs are met. The whole experience has been great. Would definitely recommend to any student looking for housing near Binghamton University!

They housed me and my friend underneath a domestically abusive couple. We were on the first floor, they were on the second. After a grueling and maddening 7 months of noise complaints and several 911 calls, they were finally evicted. The maintenance team was not well managed though the team members themselves are kind and respectful. I had to deal whilst paying my bills with my own money. Don't forget: any real-estate private equity company's goal is to profit and add a sprinkle of ethics and compassion. I'll take the fairly maintained living conditions but taking half of an entire year to evict my upstairs neighbors, come on, guys. I don't expect others to have a similar experience but it says a lot about Stonebridge for how they treat fringe experiences like mine.

Don't rent from them. I've been regretting it since move in. 2 weeks into move in (start of the semester) and we've had multiple issues and little to no communication. We were (lied to) told by a previous agent the management/owner was working with the parking lot owner nearby to allow a monthly rate and trying to decrease the rate only to be unexpectedly told on signing day that they don't do that and it was an extra $700+ fee to secure their parking spot. We received the utility bill and it was $60+ for a summer bill when no one was occupying the unit (again lied to by previous agent who said it'd be around $50). Multiple issues just in the 1st week of disruptions to our water and then subsequently coming back rusty and with black specks, with no notice so it would just happen randomly. I wasted my own money to grab water gallons to be able to bathe with just in case it continued to happen. I submitted a work order to try and get some explanation on why our water is being disrupted and no response was given, only the ticket being marked completed a few days later. On top of all this since move in we've received 3 tours/temporary weekend housing notices without the appropriate 24 hr notice that is entitled/required. 2nd notice was maybe a 3hr notice prior to tour, this latest one was a 10 minute notice. I expect next time there won't even be a notice. They'll just walk in. I asked when the group of more than 4 people walked in why we're not getting appropriate notice they claimed "last minute"... I doubt that group all come in the same car. It had to have been coordinated beforehand for more than 10 minutes... I think 10 minutes is when they remembered we needed to be notified.

My daughter has been waiting for her security deposit for well over two months. She has been getting the runaround. From Stonebridge Binghamton stating that the owner is aware and is expected to contact us. Also, their rep Brock, who we have multiple text messages regarding security deposit also did not want to say who the owner’s name by the way the owners name is Eli. The Business is out of Brooklyn, New York. Numerous emails and text still nothing. My daughter just brought this to my attention. Also, all the other students in her apartment has not received their money. Also other students from other apartments have not got their security deposit as well. This is so unprofessional and I would say anyone else having this issue To contact consumer service, we recently received a phone call from Attorney General. I told him I will give them until this Friday to hear back exactly where everything stands. This is extremely frustrating for a young student trying to get through life at a university to have to deal with someone who holds back their deposit. Also look into your lease and communicate with an attorney if necessary. The expectation is the student is supposed to receive their return within less than a month after. This is very unprofessional.
