I recently moved into Prairie Pointe for my student living experience, as it is my first year of college, and I couldn't be happier! The amenities are fantastic, with a great study lounge and a gym that makes it easy to stay active. The staff is super friendly and always ready to help with any issues. The location is perfect for getting to campus and nearby shops. Overall, it's a great place to live as a student, and I highly recommend it!

I read the reviews of this place one year ago prior to my child moving in. The complaints of deposits not being returned etc and they are correct. It's actually corrupt & disturbing. After moving my child out & spending a total of 12 hours between 3 adults cleaning his room plus the common space and not getting a deposit back is unprofessional. The carpets were in perfect shape & clean (pics to show) getting charged $106 for carpet cleaning with normal use is unprofessional. $75 charge for cleaning plus $66.25 for paint. The walls in his room had no paint issues. The windows, ceiling fan, blinds, mirror were all spotless. He was the last of 4 to exit with horrible dirty fridges that were cleaned spotless (drawers being taken out etc), dishwasher cleaned, stove cleaned, microwave cleaned. The 4 boys that lived there never used the common space. We had to dust the couch & chairs because they never used them. The laundry room was spotless, as was the common closet. Students should not be charged for normal wear and tear from common living. A person who exits should not be charged for another students personal space from not being cleaned. I'd highly advise DMACC to review the business they encourage students to live. These students need their deposit for next level of living, you as a business shouldn't defraud them when the checklist was completed as described plus more. I do hope that prairie point will return the call from the message left. If they choose not to return the call I will add to this review.

***Every kid is dying to leave here after 3 months in. *** wish I could give 0. this place might seem like the best choice out of the student living but its awful. you might luck out and get a "good" apartment but so many of them are horrible. water leaks & damage stains, flooring beat up horrible and spacing apart, they do not clean before you move in, I have met people who's main living closet was full to the brim of trash left from old tenants, broken appliances and stains from old people, they dont even pretend like they thoroughly clean the before new people. if you do choose to live here make sure you clean properly before you move yourself in. I know multiple people who are still paying rent here and they moved home, it was so bad they would rather be out thousands of dollars. getting matinence is a nightmare cause it takes forever to be done properly. if anything gets damaged they WILL overcharge you to fix it. if you move in YOU WILL have concerns about mold at some point just like everyone else who lived here and they will not take anything seriously, my roommates and I are certain we've been sick all year cause of mold and they wouldn't even test it without trying to charge us a beyond unbelievable fee that cost more than half of what monthly rent is, JUST TO TEST FOR IT. the property is a mess and looks like its very rarely cleaned up, in the winter seems like they dont know what salt is cause they will plow the lot a bit and let the slush freeze til its like 3 inches thick. moving in we got one of the "good apartments" no big noticeable problems like some peoples couches are peeling and ripped to shit and have visible damage throughout the apartment but its still bad. they painted over vents people had mold concerns about and water damage instead of fixing it. terrible experience.

former student from DMACC and hated living here. none of our broken items in our room were fixed. and I moved out before the first of the year and i’m still getting bills - after i already paid to leave. The place wasn’t even clean prior to me moving in and now im getting charges saying that I didn’t clean - 6 weeks after i moved out!

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would!! Upon arrival on, the apartment was ABSOLUTELY FILTHY and in serious disrepair. The sink didn’t drain, dishwasher didn’t work, dryer didn’t work, missing desk and coffee table, walls either not repaired or poorly repaired (possibly an attempt by previous tenants), a bedroom door that didn’t shut or lock, just to name a few. To make matters worse, it is infested with mice, not to mention areas with mold!!! It is clear the unit was never inspected or cleaned after the last tenants vacated the unit. We’ve attempted to contact management MULTIPLE times, only getting to speak to the property manager once. I was assured I would be receiving an email from him today regarding the issues. Once again, we’ve received nothing. The pictures and documentation we have make it VERY clear this is not an exaggeration. Steer clear of this apartment complex if you’re looking for housing!!!!
